Reduce oil and sediment flowing through trench drains and pipes
Early capture of stormwater pollutants is always the best-case scenario. But not always achievable. And even if there are stormwater management products in place at the drain level those products can fail, get damaged or neglected. In those cases, the Ultra-Trench Filter can remove hydrocarbons and other pollutants that have traveled further downstream.
Use the Ultra-Trench Filter in conjunction with storm drain products like the Ultra-Drain Guard, Ultra-Curb Guard or Ultra-Grate Guard for a “one-two punch” in stormwater management.
Product Highlights
- Filter design forces water to flow around and through a series of Ultra-X-Tex filter strips - sand, silt and sediment are trapped between the strips while hydrocarbons are absorbed by the Ultra-X-Tex material.
- Unit has a 10 ft. x 2 ft. section of filter strips - nylon cord is sewn along the entire lenngth of the fabric for added strength.
- Loops on each end allow Ultra-Trench Filters to be connected together for long runs of trench/pipe.
- Ten-foot cord (included) can be used to tie off the Ultra-Trench Filter and secure it in place.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I secure the Ultra-Trench Filter so it doesn't go downstream?
The included 10-foot cord can be used to secure the trench filter either by staking it to the ground or tying it off to the storm grate (or other nearby structure).
What is Ultra-X-Tex?
Ultra-X-Tex is a material that is made of a proprietary blend of fibers that are treated and naturally absorb oils and greases from water while allowing water to flow through the material. Ultra X-Tex will hold onto the oils and greases and will not release them back into the water. Find out more.
Can I use multiple trench filters?
Yes. The Ultra-Trench Filter is designed to be used as a single unit or it can be connected to other Ultra-Trench Filters if a longer run is necessary.
