Filter grease and oil from stormwater runoff
Oil and grease is a major problem in stormwater. Waste oil and grease containers from restaurants are often a source of pollution in rainfall.
Even if they are sealed from the elements, residual oil and grease that may have spilled or dripped when the waste oil was poured into the container can get washed away with the rain and flushed into the nearest storm drain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Ultra-Filter Deck contain water?
It does not contain water. Looks can be deceiving, especially since the Ultra-Filter Deck is based on one of our spill containment products. But it has been modified with draining ports to allow stormwater to empty out of the sump.
What is the Ultra-Filter Deck made of?
The base and the grating of the Ultra-Filter Deck is made from a low-density polyethylene. The filter is made from Ultra-X-Tex.
Why do you use Ultra-X-Tex as a filtering media?
Ultra-X-Tex is a high-performance, cost-effective absorbent that allows large volumes of water to pass through while sorbing liquid hydrocarbons, including petroleum, animal and vegetable oils. Find out more here.
How long will the Ultra-X-Tex filtering media last before it needs to be replaced?
The amount of time that elapses before the Ultra-X-Tex media needs to be replaced will be dependent on the amount of oil that is present in the water that gets filtered. It is recommended that you inspect the filter media after the first significant rainfall to get a gauge of how much oil is present. The Ultra-X-Tex media should be replaced shortly before it is completely saturated.
What color is the Ultra-Filter Deck?
The Ultra-Filter Deck is black. The images in the photo gallery are used to be able to better show the draining ports.
