First, I’d like to thank Kenny Loggins for his help with my subject line (he and I “collab” often).
Second, let’s talk about compliance. Specifically spill containment compliance for one or two, 55-gallon drums. Specifically-er, what does NOT comply. There are several spill containment products available that are marketed as containment for 55-gallon drums, but in actuality do not have enough containment to meet the EPA regulations.
What exactly do the regulations say? Well, that is an excellent question and I’m not at all surprised that YOU are the one to ask. You’ve always been my favorite.
I’ve got two resources to share with you that will help answer that question. Two resources that will make you “Dangerous”! (Queue the echo effect) This flyer speaks specifically to the 1 and 2 drum spill containment products on the market. And this video explains the EPA regulation 40 CFR 264.175 in detail.
And now you know enough to be dangerous.
“Dangerous” is an educational email/social media series for UltraTech’s distributors and end-users of its products. The goal is for consumers of the content to “Know enough to be dangerous”. There is nothing inherently dangerous about the material itself but it might not be a bad idea to throw on a hard hat and safety glasses.
* Meh. Today, tomorrow, the next day… you can act whenever… just be sure to act sometime soon!!
