Most of UltraTech’s spill containment products are designed to be put in place and then have the potential offending “spillers” placed in or on the containment unit. But large, heavy, or previously secured/bolted down equipment or machinery can make that very difficult or impossible.
The Ultra-Berm Builder solves that problem. This component system can be built to just about any size and/or shape that might be needed for your spill containment application.

The Ultra-Berm Builder is an open-cell foam that is wrapped in vinyl.

Can I step on the Ultra-Berm Builder's sidewalls?
Yes, the Ultra-Berm Builder’s sidewalls are designed to be able to be stepped on and/or rolled over with light, wheeled equipment. The open-cell foam barrier will spring back after the weight is removed.

What if the area I need containment for is larger than what is covered by the "full kit"?
You can always add more straight sections (Part# 8641) and/or more corners (Part# 8642) or whatever is needed for your particular application. All of the components and accessories for the Ultra-Berm Builder are available separately.

Is the installation of the Ultra-Berm Builder permanent? Can I remove it?
The Ultra-Berm Builder is meant to a “long-term” installation. Should it become necessary, it can be removed using a flat-bladed shovel.

What surfaces can the Ultra-Berm Builder be used on?
The Ultra-Berm Builder is designed for use on flat, smooth surfaces.

Can the Ultra-Berm Builder be cut to size for a more custom fit?
Yes, the berm builder is designed to be easily cut if necessary. Simply use a utility knife and a straight edge (NOTE: Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)).
