Ultra-Spill Pallet®
Economy Model
Protected by the industry’s strongest warranty – Five years against any material or workmanship defects. Learn more…
Ultra-Spill Pallet Economy Models have been developed specifically to meet tight budgets for spill containment products
Effective spill containment doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. The Ultra-Spill Pallet – Economy Model was designed to help meet spill containment regulations without breaking the bank. By using recycled resin, we are able to make these spill pallets more economically and pass the savings on to our customers. Two models are available with a maximum capacity of 2 or 4 drums. The drain option allows any spilled contents to be easily removed.
By storing 55-gallon drums (or other size containers) of hazardous material on our pallet, you can rest assured any incidental leaks or drips, as well as any spills, will be captured in the 66-gallon sump. The all-polyethylene 2′ x 4′ grating keeps drums above any spills and is easily removed to help facilitate clean-up. Both models can easily be moved, relocated, or transported with a pallet jack or forklift. An optional ramp is available with the 4-drum model for easier loading, unloading, and drum handling.
Product Highlights

Constructed with the "Cross of Life” Design
Innovative “Cross of Life” design protects the pallet’s structural integrity during heavy loads over time. As more weight is applied to the top of the pallet, the Cross of Life design draws the all-polyethylene sides towards the center instead of allowing them to sag outwards. Learn more…

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What are the dimensions for the forklift pockets?
-
Are these spill pallets forkliftable from all four sides?
The 4-drum model is forkliftable from all four sides. The 2-drum model is forkliftable from either of the two longer (53″) sides.
-
Can I move spill pallets with drums on them?
No, we do not recommend moving loaded pallets.
-
Why is there a ramp offered for the 4-drum pallet but not the 2-drum?
The P2 spill pallet is taller (16.5″) than the P4 spill pallet (11.75″). A ramp to reach that height would have to be fairly long in order to make a safe and effective slope. The cost to make such a large ramp is cost-prohibitive. If you are interested in a 2-drum pallet that has a ramp available, we suggest looking at the Spill Pallet Plus Models.
-
Why do these pallets have a 66-gallon capacity? I thought the requirement was for 55-gallons.
The EPA requirements (40 CFR 264.175) do call for 55-gallons. So the Ultra-Spill Pallets EXCEED those federal requirements. However, when these pallets were introduced to the market, there was another requirement in the Uniform Fire Code. That requirement is no longer in effect but called for a 66-gallon sump capacity.
-
Can I add a drain to my spill pallet after it's been purchased/delivered?
Yes, there are two different ways that it can be done. Both are easy to do and inexpensive. Please contact us for more information.
-
I'm not sure if I should get a spill pallet with a drain or without. What do you recommend?
Good arguments can be made for either option so it is difficult to give a single recommendation. Some users prefer to have a drain to make clean-up easier. If a spill occurs, the drain plug can be unscrewed and the contents can drain out into an appropriate container. Others feel that the drain plug is something that could be unscrewed (for cleaning or maintenance) and then forgotten. Needless to say, that would make for a very ineffective spill containment pallet.
-
What type of drain is used for these pallets?
The standard drain is a threaded hole in the sidewall with a ¾” polyethylene plug with NPT threads installed.
-
If I don't have a drain, then how am I supposed to clean up after a spill?
We recommend using a pump like a bladder pump (Part# 2345) used with our Spill Deck Bladder Systems. Click here to see a video of it in action.
-
How many pallets can be put in a single stack for shipping? What other shipping information should I know?
The Ultra-Spill Pallet P4 can be stacked up to eight (8) high. The Ultra-Spill Pallet P2 can be stacked up to six (6) high. Both are freight class 150 and NMFC 150390-4.
